Caitlin Karolczak at Verge Art Fair Miami Beach

"This nifty tossed salad of offerings strikes palatable balances that won't leave you feeling hungry for fresher talent a half-hour after leaving. If Verge Art Fair is good enough for Charles Saatchi and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, surely local and visiting art-lurkers can keep pace with this showcase of exclusively emerging artists." The exhibition will feature a variety of examples - mainly local - that create a "remembrance of past things", including photographs of memorial constructions and people to whom they have meaning, as well as the ephemera of memory and mourning, such as clothing, accessories, and objects that assure that the idea, event or person is "gone, but not forgotten."

Caitlin has loaned 18 photographs & an authentic death mask from her memento mori collection to this exhibition as well as 2 of her paintings.

Caitlin Karolczak Painting Reception Hosted by Denny Kemp

Denny Kemp Salon & Spa

Please join me Wednesday Aug 3rd for a reception at Denny Kemp Salon & Spa. I will have select oil paintings on display along with a new series of affordable framed works.

Owner Denny Kemp uses his own creative eye to develop a spa refuge that is immersed in his sleek modern art collection juxtaposed with dramatic vintage lighting & objects. Caitlin Karolczak makes use of this stimulating environment with her paintings. Her use of old master techniques is evident but also her contemporary use of sometimes taboo subject matter.
